DURSTEEL 510 – Wear resistant steel
DURSTEEL 510 is a quenched & tempered high abrasion resistant steel with a nominal hardness of 510 HB. It can withstand very severe wear conditions. Its mechanical properties are obtained by hardening. In addition to its hardness and toughness characteristics, the high quality of the quenching process allows DURSTEEL 510 wear-resistant steel to be easy to processed and to be welded. DURSTEEL 510 has good rolling and bending properties. It is however necessary to take special precautions during its processing. DURSTEEL 510 wear-resistant steel maintains its properties up to a temperature of 250°C. The use of DURSTEEL 510 for heat treatment or hot dip galvanizing is not recommended. For all uses of abrasion resistant steel at higher temperatures, we recommend the use of CREUSABRO 8000 or DURANOX 12.
