Wear-resistant hoppers
Produr designs and manufactures wear-resistant hoppers adapted to your operating constraints.
Based on your drawings or on-site measurements, we analyze the actual stresses — abrasion, shocks, impacts, clogging, corrosion — to redesign or improve your equipment.
Our approach consists of integrating, zone by zone, the material that will guarantee the best resistance over time, while simplifying maintenance.
What we guarantee for your hoppers:
- Geometry maintained or optimized to guarantee flow rates and material flow
- Adaptation to the types of wear encountered (sliding, tangential abrasion, impact, sticky products…)
- Modular solutions for quick replacement of components
- Identified parts for simple and error-free installation
- Precise layout studies and installation drawings
Our hoppers are designed to ensure an extended service life, reduce production downtime and facilitate your maintenance operations.
Technical materials for each wear zone
Each hopper zone is subjected to different stresses (impact, sliding, turbulence, clogging). Produr selects the appropriate material to optimize the overall service life of the equipment.
- Abrasion resistant steels
For impact zones and highly stressed surfaces. - Duraplate® overlay plates
For severe abrasion and continuous abrasive flows; excellent resistance to angular particles. - Technical ceramics
For zones exposed to extreme tangential abrasion, sliding or turbulence; also ideal in wet or loaded environments. - Duraplate HiSPEED
To limit clogging and facilitate the flow of sticky materials.
Case Study: Wear-Resistant Hoppers
CASE STUDY
Upgrade of a hopper in the chemical industry
To ensure improved abrasion resistance in critical discharge areas, several hoppers under cyclones were manufactured in Creusabro® 4800.
This delayed work-hardening steel increases the service life of components while maintaining good workability (welding, forming…).
Result: a robust and durable solution for a highly abrasive environment.
CASE STUDY
Manufacturing of a piping assembly for ash reinjection
As part of a maintenance operation on a high-temperature storage line, PRODUR manufactured hopper bottoms in 310 stainless steel, a material resistant to heat and corrosion.
Manufactured according to drawings, these components integrate all the required elements: flange, hatch, impact tube… A durable solution to reinforce your demanding process installations
CASE STUDY
Upgrade of a distributor and a hopper
To limit the rapid wear of components exposed to cullet flow, PRODUR supplied a distributor and a hopper overlaid with DURAPLATE® D31T (5+3 mm).
Thanks to this solution, the service life of the parts was multiplied by five, significantly reducing the risk of downtime in a critical area.
