Wear-Resistant Chutes
Chutes are exposed to multiple stresses: tangential abrasion, repeated impacts, turbulent flow, dead zones and clogging phenomena.
PRODUR designs and manufactures tailor-made solutions to extend their service life and ensure smooth product flow.
Thanks to our materials expertise and integrated industrial capabilities, we adapt each lining to the stressed area — material inlet, acceleration zones, direction changes and chute outlets.
Wear issues on your chutes?
Materials adapted to each type of wear
Abrasion resistant steels Dursteel or Creusabro
Perfect for absorbing impacts, reinforcing impact zones and providing a strong mechanical base.
Duraplate overlay plates
Ideal for severe abrasion areas where particles circulate at high speed.
Excellent resistance to continuous abrasive flows, low wear, dimensional stability.
Technical ceramics
Recommended for sliding and turbulence zones: extreme abrasion, high velocity, humidity, loaded slurries.
Significantly extended service life and smoother material flow.
Anti-clogging solutions – smooth linings
For sticky, fine or wet materials: reduce adhesion and optimize line performance.
We design and improve your equipment to extend its service life.
CASE STUDY
Upgrade of a Cullet Chute
In a glass plant, cullet recovery chutes previously lined with ZAC cast ceramic had become difficult to source.
PRODUR proposed an alternative solution based on ALDUR® 240 panels mounted on a steel backing, offering equivalent or even superior performance.
CASE STUDY
Lining of a duct & an expansion joint
Faced with premature wear of an expansion joint and a stainless steel duct on a bark feeding line, PRODUR proposed a custom lining in DURPLAST® S, an elastomer resistant to impact and abrasion.
Result: improved durability, parts reused instead of being replaced, and immediate operational gains.
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of a chute under a crusher
Faced with accelerated wear caused by the Venturi effect under a crusher, this steel component was redesigned to integrate a full ALDUR® 240 ceramic lining, ensuring high abrasion resistance.
The presence of an access hatch allows quick maintenance in case of clogging, which is frequent during humidity peaks.
Result: a reliable, durable solution designed for real field constraints.
