Straight-Bead Hardfacing Steels

Hardlite is an ultra-thin wear-resistant hardfaced overlay plate, designed to provide one of the highest hardness levels on the market (64–66 HRC).

Its low-dilution, highly homogeneous chromium carbide overlay ensures excellent resistance to severe abrasion while withstanding moderate impact levels.

Thanks to its thinness and mechanical properties, Hardlite is highly flexible and can be easily formed, including into tubes up to Ø100 mm.

Mechanical Properties :

The overlay has no intrinsic mechanical properties; the backing steel provides suitable characteristics (S235, S355, HLE, …)

Typical values for S355 steel

Fabrication :

Hardlite has excellent bending, rolling, and stamping capabilities.
Rolling diameter: 300 mm with overlay on the inside or outside.
Hot forming possible.

Weldability :

Assembly with our Easycor 70M or Corinox 307 wire and weld protection with DURCOR31WO wire.

Main Applications :

Cyclones, separators, fans, piping…
