Dursteel®: Grades Tailored to Every Need

Through the Dursteel® range, PRODUR offers high-quality abrasion-resistant steels with hardness levels from 400 to 500 HB, as well as specific grades with high toughness and non-magnetic properties.

Dursteel maintains its properties up to 250°C. Using Dursteel for heat treatments or hot-dip galvanizing is not recommended.

For applications requiring abrasion-resistant steel at higher temperatures, we recommend using our Creusabro® steels or our Duraplate® D45T overlay plates.

Dursteel® vs Creusabro®: How to Choose ?

Dursteel® positions itself as the ultimate cost-effective choice for applications requiring wear resistance, offering an optimal balance between price and quality.

Its robustness and reliability make it a high-performance solution for a wide range of applications.

However, when maximum service life is critical, Creusabro® steels clearly outperform conventional options.

Creusabro® 4800 and 6400 last up to 100% longer than standard 400 and 450 HB quenched steels, respectively, while Creusabro® 8000 and Dual extend service life up to 100% compared with conventional 500 HB steels.

Dursteel® 410

Abrasion-resistant steel 400 HB

Dursteel® 410 stands out for its robustness and ease of fabrication. Ideal for equipment exposed to moderate wear, it offers excellent workability, simplifying bending, welding, and machining in the workshop.

Thickness : 2–130 mm

Main Applications :

Linings, wear blades, buckets, hoppers, chutes, hammers, knives, bulldozers, screw conveyors, screens…

Dursteel® 460

Abrasion-resistant steel 450 HB

Dursteel® 460 is a quenched steel resistant to abrasion with a nominal hardness of 460 HB. It withstands severe wear conditions, and its high yield strength allows it to absorb significant impacts without deformation.

Thickness : 3–80 mm

Main Applications :

Linings and wear plates, cones, hammers, blades, earthmoving equipment

Dursteel® 510

Abrasion-resistant steel 500 HB

Dursteel® 510 is a quenched steel designed to withstand extremely severe wear conditions. It offers double the average service life of 400 HB steels and a 50% increase over 450 HB steels.

Thickness : 3–80 mm

Main Applications:

Linings and wear plates for hoppers, chutes, knives, hammers

Dursteel® MN

Manganese Steel – 210 HB → 540 HB

Dursteel® MN is a manganese steel, work-hardening and non-magnetic. This material, featuring a work-hardening surface layer (1 to 3 mm thick) and a ductile core, is ideal for many applications combining impact and abrasion.

Thickness : 2–25 mm

Main Applications:

Anti-fracture bars, screen grids, crusher hammers, wear plates, impact plates

Dursteel® Tuffplate

Grade for Thick Sections – 340 HB

A quenched steel resistant to abrasion, specifically designed for high impact resistance. Its properties make it suitable for applications requiring high toughness and wear resistance.

Thickness : 40–150 mm

Main Applications :

Wear parts for thick sections: earthmoving blades (Delta, semi-Delta), wear plates in crushers
