Manufacture of two cullet silos
Manufacture of two silos in Duraplate D31, an overlay plate with swept weld beads based on chromium carbides.
Its hardness is 60 to 62 HRC and its hard phases (chromium carbides) are mainly at 1650 HV. Our plate withstands very severe abrasion, up to temperatures of 350 °C.

In a glass plant, cullet recovery chutes were originally lined with molded ZAC ceramic, which had become difficult to source.
PRODUR proposed an alternative solution based on ALDUR® 240 panels on a steel backing, with equivalent or even superior performance.

In a glass fiber production installation, a fan volute was experiencing accelerated wear due to the passage of dust-laden air. PRODUR carried out a complete lining with sintered ceramic tiles ALDUR® 240 to reinforce internal abrasion resistance.
Result: a refurbished and durable component, installed after 18 hours of ceramic assembly.

Reliability improvement of a distributor and a hopper
To limit rapid wear of components exposed to cullet flow, PRODUR supplied a distributor and a hopper overlaid with DURAPLATE® D31T (5+3 mm).
Thanks to this solution, the service life of the parts was increased fivefold, significantly reducing the risk of shutdowns in a critical area.
