Aldur® 240
Technical Ceramics – Sintered Alumina
ALDUR 240 is a wear ceramic made of sintered alumina, designed to provide exceptional resistance to abrasion, including in aggressive chemical environments.
Thanks to its extremely dense structure, obtained after firing at 1500°C, it enables the production of high-performance linings from 1.5 to 75 mm in thickness.
Its thermal stability up to 1200°C and its excellent chemical inertness make it a reference solution for sliding abrasion.
Technical & General Information

Manufacturing process :
Aldur 240 is produced from 92% very high purity alumina.
The powder is molded then compressed at very high pressure before being fired at 1500°C, generating a compact, dense structure extremely resistant to abrasion.
Mode de fixation :
Aldur 240 tiles can be fixed :
• by bonding (epoxy, silicone or polyurethane)
• by welding on a metal capsule inserted into a conical hole
• by vulcanization (rubber or rubber + steel)
The choice of fixing method depends on the structure and the operating conditions of the equipment.
Main Applications of Aldur 240
Aldur 240 is designed for areas exposed to severe abrasion and/or aggressive chemical environments, including:
- Injection nozzles
- Cyclones & hydrocyclones
- Cones & separators
- Crushers
- Hoppers
- Chutes
- Conveyors
- Fan volutes
- Piping components (hydraulic or pneumatic)
- Silos & transfer points
- Mixers
Advantages of Choosing Aldur 240
Thanks to its Mohs 9 hardness and its very dense sintered structure, Aldur 240 provides exceptional resistance to sliding abrasion, even under the most severe conditions.
Its thermal stability up to 1200°C and its high chemical inertness ensure long-lasting performance in aggressive or corrosive environments.
The availability of thin or thick tiles, combined with the possibility of manufacturing custom parts, allows the lining to be perfectly adapted to sensitive areas.
Thanks to its different fixing methods, Aldur 240 can be easily integrated into existing equipment, providing durable protection and a reliable solution to extend the service life of industrial installations.
