DURGUM
Technical Rubbers
The Durgum range includes natural or synthetic rubbers specially formulated to provide excellent abrasion resistance while reducing noise levels.
Their high elasticity allows them to absorb impacts, protect structures and preserve the particle size of conveyed materials.
Suitable for both wet and dry environments, Durgum materials are available in several grades covering both sliding abrasion from fine particles and heavy impact conditions.
Technical & General Information
Main Characteristics :
• Density : 1.10 to 1.20 depending on grade
• Shore hardness : 45 to 65
• Maximum service temperature : 80°C
• Abrasion index DIN 53516 : 90 to 130 mm³
• Excellent impact absorption
• Very good behavior against fine or moderate abrasion
Available Grades :
• Durgum 650 : sliding abrasion in humid environments, highly anti-build-up
• Durgum 680 : for abrasive crushed materials, heavy-duty applications
• Durgum 550 : economical solution for light to moderate abrasion
Installation and variants :
• Durgum AD : adhesive backing
• Durgum RT : integrated textile reinforcement
• Durgum Vulcalu : vulcanized on aluminum
• Durgum Vulcacier : vulcanized on steel
These variants facilitate installation and improve the mechanical strength of the linings.
Main Applications of Durgum
Durgum is used to protect or manufacture:
- Chutes, hoppers, silos
- Screen cloths, skirting, impact bars
- Skips, vibrating feeders
- Hydrocyclones, shot blasting machines
- Scrapers, snowplow blades
- Buckets, crushers, conveyor belt discharge points
Advantages of Choosing Durgum
Thanks to their high elasticity and low abrasion index, Durgum rubbers provide durable protection for equipment exposed to repeated impacts and fine abrasion.
Their damping effect significantly reduces noise, limits the generation of fines and improves working conditions in sensitive areas.
Available with various reinforcements, supports and fixing systems, Durgum materials adapt to all lining configurations. Their low density also helps reduce structural weight while facilitating handling and installation of the components.
