Wear Solutions for Mining & Quarries
Mining installations are subjected to particularly severe stresses: intense abrasion, repeated impacts, erosion from mineral flows or slurries, variable temperatures… From crushing to the conveying of concentrates, each stage of the process is exposed to a specific type of wear.
PRODUR supports mining and quarry operators in strengthening their critical equipment.
Thanks to recognized expertise, we provide solutions adapted to each impact zone: crusher liners, chute linings, hopper wear plates, conveyor or cyclone protection…
Our objective: extend the service life of your equipment, limit unplanned shutdowns, and optimize your maintenance costs.
High-Performance Materials for Your Mining Installations
DURSTEEL® abrasion resistant steels (410, 460, 510) provide a robust and cost-effective solution for parts exposed to moderate wear. Their good mechanical strength and ease of fabrication make them a reliable choice in many applications.
For more severe environments exposed to repeated impacts or intense cyclic abrasion, we recommend high-performance Creusabro® 4800 / 8000 steels, capable of long-lasting resistance thanks to their active metallurgical structure with delayed work hardening.
DURAPLATE® overlay plates, based on complex carbides, provide reinforced protection in highly abrasive areas. The D31T grade, versatile and homogeneous, combines excellent resistance with ease of fabrication. The D45T grade is suited for high-temperature areas (up to 700 °C) or exposed to thermomechanical stresses.
Durhart® 200 and Aldur® 240 technical ceramics provide durable protection against sliding abrasion in the most exposed flow zones. Their exceptional resistance ensures long-term protection of sensitive equipment, even in humid environments or with high concentrations of fines.
Manufacture of Wear Parts for Mining and Quarries
PRODUR manufactures your wear parts based on your drawings and technical requirements. Each part is produced according to your specifications, with materials selected to match your constraints: abrasion, impact, temperature, dusty or humid environments.
Whether for hoppers, chutes, elbows, protection plates or conveying components, we ensure full compatibility with your existing installations and your maintenance objectives.
Reliability Improvement of Your Mining Equipment
Beyond manufacturing, PRODUR supports you in the continuous improvement of your installations.
We carry out wear audits to identify critical areas, analyze recurring failures, and propose concrete solutions: geometry modification, selection of higher-performance materials, additional lining, or complete redesign.
Our teams can operate on site to perform measurements using 3D scanning when drawings are unavailable, ensuring reliable and durable integration.
We turn your wear challenges into sustainable performance!
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of a non-return flap
For this chemical plant, our teams developed a custom non-return flap capable of withstanding severe wear in an aggressive environment.
The key: a Durzalt® 40 lining, a fused basalt with high chemical resistance, ideal for absorbing moderate impacts while reducing friction.
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of a magnetic separation cyclone
Facing severe wear observed on the dust collection systems of a magnetic separation unit, WA PRODUR designed a complete solution:
- DURAPLATE® D31T for the stack
- ALDUR® 240 for the head
- DURHART® 200 for the cones
Proven technical materials adapted to abrasive flows and intense mechanical stresses.
Result: enhanced durability, easier assembly and reduced maintenance.
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of a cyclone distributor
On this mineral processing line, the distributor feeds hydrocyclones with a highly abrasive slurry. The previous model, lined with rubber, wore out too quickly.
We designed a reinforced version in Durhart® 200, a molded technical ceramic with a thickness of 25 mm.
Result:
- Service life multiplied by 3
- Optimized geometry to reduce sliding abrasion
- No risk of tile detachment
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of bucket wheel excavator buckets
For this mining application, PRODUR designed a bucket wheel excavator bucket resistant to abrasion and clogging:
- Structure in Dursteel® 410
- Replaceable cutting edges in Dursteel® 510
- Replaceable teeth in Dursteel® 410
- Anti-clogging liners + flexible chain bottom
The system enables complete bucket discharge at each cycle, ensuring 100% use of capacity and limiting performance losses related to buildup.
