Ballistic Steels
Discover our wide range of ballistic steels
Ballistic steels are designed for specific applications related to the protection of people, equipment and sensitive infrastructure.
They are used in many protection systems:
Metal armoring, composite materials, ceramics or glass
Protection of armored vehicles, aircraft and warships
Bulletproof glazing, armored windows and doors
Shutters, safes, teller trays, guard booths or watchtowers
Protection of buildings and sensitive sites
Bulletproof and stab-resistant vests, inserts, goggles, helmets, visors and shields
Equipment intended for the protection of combatants, law enforcement and security personnel
All our ballistic tests are carried out in accordance with the AFNOR NF A36-800-2 standard.
Shooting Ranges
Whether for sport shooting, gendarmerie equipment or military firing ranges, PRODUR offers ballistic steels enabling the manufacture of armor plates and protection plates that meet the requirements of public tenders.
Thanks to the diversity of its finishing equipment, PRODUR can supply custom armor plates, including:
Laser cutting
Long-length bending
Shot blasting
Painting
Dursteel® 510
Civilian Ballistic Steels
Our 500 HB abrasion-resistant steel is widely used by professionals.
In thicknesses from 8 mm and above, it is one of the most commonly used steels for manufacturing armor plates for shooting ranges.
Creusabro® 8000
Civilian Ballistic Steels
CREUSABRO® is the benchmark in high-performance abrasion-resistant steels.
With a hardness of 470 HB before work hardening, it can be processed more easily than most 500 HB abrasion-resistant steels.
Surface work hardening allows the hardness to reach 530 HB, making it a steel particularly suited for protection plates used in many public tenders.
Dursteel® MN
Anti-Burglary Steels
SAFE® 500
Ballistic Steels
INDUSTEEL, partner of PRODUR for the distribution of the CREUSABRO® range, also offers the ballistic protection steel SAFE 500.
This ballistic protection steel stands out for its excellent flatness.
The combination of an optimized chemical composition, controlled heat treatment and precise rolling provides an optimal balance of weldability, formability and ballistic performance.
