DURPLAST S

Sprayed Elastomer Coating

Durplast S is a range of sprayable polyurethane-based elastomers designed to create thin linings (1 to 20 mm) highly resistant to abrasion, cavitation and impacts.

Depending on the grade (XC, XW or XG), the material provides different balances between elasticity, wear resistance and anti-adhesion properties.

Applied by spraying or molding, Durplast S easily adapts to complex shapes and can be used to refurbish or protect both new components and worn equipment.

Technical & General Information

Main Characteristics :

  • • Material : sprayable PU elastomer

    • Hardness :
     ○ XC : 60–65 Shore A
     ○ XW : 82–85 Shore A
     ○ XG : 95–98 Shore A

    • Density : 1.05 to 1.10 g/cm³

    • Service temperature :
     ○ up to 100–130°C in dry conditions depending on grade
     ○ up to 60°C in humid environments

    • Excellent resistance to abrasion and cavitation

    • Very good adhesion on most substrates (steel, stainless steel, concrete, etc.)

    • Lining compliant with FDA requirements for contact with dry products in certain sectors (food, pharma)

Thicknesses & application methods :

  • Sprayed thickness : 1 to 20 mm without seams
  •  Application by spraying or molding depending on geometry
  • Possibility to coat flat, cylindrical or highly complex surface

Préconisations :

  • Durplast S XC : flexible lining, very good impact resistance
  • Durplast S XW : versatile grade, very high resistance to abrasion/cavitation
  • Durplast S XG : rigid grade, very low friction coefficient, ideal for anti-adhesion and build-up reduction

Main Applications of Durplast S

Durplast S is used to protect :

  • Agitators, mixers, screw conveyors
  • Vibrating hoppers, chutes, feed systems
  • Conveyor belts, technical rollers
  • Cyclones, tanks, vessels and containers
  • Pipes, nozzles, water or concrete processing equipment

Advantages of Choosing Durplast S

Durplast S offers a highly favorable efficiency-to-weight ratio: the lining remains lightweight while providing protection comparable to much thicker solutions.

Its spray application allows complex shapes, hard-to-reach areas and components already in service to be treated easily.

The different grades in the range cover a wide variety of needs: impact absorption, severe abrasion resistance, anti-adhesion properties or build-up reduction.

Finally, its strong adhesion on most substrates and the possibility of localized refurbishment make it a particularly valuable solution for maintenance teams.
