Duraplate®: Grades Tailored to Every Need
Duraplate® hardfaced overlay plates consist of a construction steel base, a 400 HB steel (Dursteel®) base, or stainless steel, with a carbide-based overlay.
Chrome, niobium, vanadium and titanium carbides are used to withstand all types of wear conditions.
The combination of the base metal performance with complex carbides allows the creation of customized composite products.
Straight or oscillated beads, how to choose ?
he Duraplate® PREMIUM DxxT range with straight beads stands out for its homogeneous chemistry in a single layer, achieved through rapid cooling that forms very hard primary carbides and a fine structure, providing exceptional abrasion resistance.
With minimal spalling and risk-free forming, these plates offer a service life 30% longer than the STANDARD range with oscillated beads.
The latter remains highly competitive, ideal for a first step in abrasion protection while providing great flexibility.
For applications prone to build-up, the Duraplate® HiSPEED overlay plate is the perfect choice, thanks to its smooth, crack-free surface and hardness of 59–62 HRC.
Duraplate® D31
Oscillated Beads
Duraplate D31 is a hardfaced overlay plate with oscillated beads; its high chromium carbide content provides good abrasion resistance, making it a cost-effective solution for basic lining applications.

Hardlite® is an ultra-thin hardfaced overlay plate offering one of the highest hardness levels on the market (66–68 HRC). Hardlite® is suitable for the most extreme wear conditions with moderate impact levels.
