PRODUR, Your Ally Against Wear in the Agri-Food Industry
Mixing, conveying, dosing, transport of fibrous, powdery or granular products: agricultural and food processing installations are subjected to continuous wear, often invisible but very real.
Plant residues, natural abrasives, wet or dry flows… Each stage of the process puts your equipment to the test.
PRODUR works alongside operators and industrial manufacturers to strengthen line reliability, extend the service life of critical parts and limit production shutdowns related to wear.
Proven Materials for the Demands of the Agri-Food Industry
DURSTEEL® steels (410, 460, 510) are the preferred solution for reinforcing standard parts exposed to moderate abrasion: trough bottoms, liners, protection plates or structural components.
Their robustness, ease of fabrication and good cost-performance ratio make them a reliable base for maintenance or new manufacturing.
For dynamic or highly stressed equipment — screw conveyors, mixer troughs, wear plates — our Creusabro® 4800 and 8000 abrasion resistant steels provide excellent long-term performance thanks to their self-hardening structure through delayed work hardening. They offer significantly longer service life than conventional steels, even under repeated impacts and abrasive flows.
Our DURPLAST® S lining effectively protects parts with complex shapes or exposed to specific constraints: localized abrasion, cavitation, product adhesion. Lightweight, spray-applied, and available in several versions (anti-abrasion, anti-impact, anti-adhesion), it provides an ideal solution for the sensitive environments of the agri-food industry.
Manufacture of Wear Parts for the Agri-Food Industry
PRODUR manufactures your wear replacement parts according to drawings, adapting to the requirements of your agri-food or agricultural lines: screw conveyors, troughs, hopper liners, chutes, piping, etc.
Each part is produced in compliance with your specifications, carefully fabricated using the materials you specify or approve.
Reliability Improvement of Your Agri-Food Industry Equipment
PRODUR supports operators and industrial manufacturers in the agri-food sector to improve the reliability of their production lines.
We identify critical areas, analyze the causes of premature wear, and propose sustainable corrective solutions: material changes (Creusabro®, Dursteel®, DURPLAST® lining), geometry modifications, or the addition of targeted protections.
When drawings are unavailable, our teams perform precise measurements using 3D scanning, enabling reliable reverse engineering and optimized integration into your existing environment.
We turn the weak points of your installations into robust and durable solutions.
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of a bucket wheel
On a large bucket wheel, the running bands showed advanced wear. PRODUR and all Welding Alloys entities coordinated a complete intervention including: grinding, manufacture of sectors in Creusabro® 4800, and on-site welding.
Result: geometry perfectly restored (tolerance < 1 mm) and enhanced mechanical performance thanks to Creusabro®.
CASE STUDY
Manufacture of a base in Creusabro®
To enhance wear resistance on a bulk processing installation, PRODUR proposed a solution in Creusabro® 8000 steel. The components – cone and bases – were machined from plates, with specific flanges and drillings.
Result: superior performance compared to standard 500 HB steels, combined with excellent ease of installation.
CASE STUDY
Reliability improvement of an elbow in Durzalt®
To improve abrasion resistance on a pneumatic conveying line, PRODUR proposed elbows lined with DURZALT® 40, a mineral material derived from fused basalt, suitable for severe flow erosion conditions.
Result: a durable solution, integrated with adaptation flanges, fully compatible with the existing network.
CASE STUDY
Lining of a mixer trough
A stainless steel mixer trough used in agriculture was experiencing regular perforations due to exposure to corrosive products containing SO₂. PRODUR proposed a DURPLAST® S lining, applied in differentiated layers.
Result: a durable wear-resistant solution, anti-clogging, resistant to acidic cycles and hot water.
