Wear Solutions for the Chemical and Petrochemical Industries

In the chemical and petrochemical industries, your equipment is exposed to particularly severe stresses: continuous abrasion, acidic or alkaline corrosion, high temperatures, and particle-laden atmospheres.

PRODUR supports you in protecting your installations by selecting technical materials suited to each process configuration. From hoppers to piping, from cyclones to catalytic circuits, every critical area can be reinforced with our wide range of wear- and corrosion-resistant solutions.

With over 30 years of experience in the mineral chemical industries, we provide concrete solutions for reliability, production continuity, and maintenance cost reduction.

Solution anti-usure pour la chimie et la pétrochimie

Materials Designed to Last in Aggressive Chemical Environments

To meet these challenges, PRODUR offers a selection of high-performance technical materials.

Durhart® 200 (electrofused) and Aldur® 240 (fused pure alumina) ceramics provide excellent abrasion resistance in humid or dusty environments, while also withstanding thermal fluctuations and certain chemical exposures.

DURSiC®, based on silicon carbide, goes further: it delivers exceptional resistance to strong acids, temperatures above 1600 °C, and abrasion combined with thermal shocks.

For areas less exposed to chemicals but heavily stressed mechanically, DURAPLATE® overlay plates (D31T, D45T…) provide reliable protection against dry abrasion and high temperatures. Their use is limited to environments without direct chemical corrosion risks to preserve performance.

Duranox coating completes the offering for areas exposed to humidity and moderate chemical atmospheres, providing an effective and durable anti-corrosion barrier.

Manufacture of Wear Parts for the Chemical and Petrochemical Industries

PRODUR manufactures, according to your drawings, replacement parts designed to withstand the extreme conditions of chemical or petrochemical environments.

Whether for raw material, fluid, or aggressive powder processing lines, each part is produced according to your specifications, using materials suited to the nature of the flows, temperature, or chemical aggressiveness.

Our experience covers numerous applications: conveyors, piping, hoppers, chutes, guiding or flow components. All our products are designed to ensure reliability, production continuity, and operational safety.

Reliability Improvement of Your Critical Equipment

Our teams also work to improve the reliability of your in-service installations: cyclones, hydrocyclones, slurry conveyors, anti-clogging cones, transfer zones, or technical piping.

We conduct a wear assessment (abrasion, corrosion, fouling, thermal stresses…), propose corrective solutions, and select the most suitable materials: chemically resistant ceramics, anti-abrasion coatings, thermal protections…

The goal: extend the service life of your installations while reducing maintenance shutdown frequency.

We enhance and improve the reliability of your equipment against wear to bring your most ambitious ideas to life.

CASE STUDY

Reliability improvement of a cyclone

As part of a chemical installation, PRODUR designed a cyclone assembly (cone + head) nearly 4 meters high, with a clear objective: extend the service life of the equipment under intense abrasion.

The internal lining was made in DURHART® 200, an electrofused ceramic known for its exceptional abrasion resistance.

Thanks to a specific design (adapted thicknesses, flanges, acid-resistant mortar…), the integration of the lining is optimized despite the height of the cyclone.

CASE STUDY

Manufacture of a sleeve in Durhart® 200

As part of a plastic materials synthesis circuit, PRODUR designed an assembly consisting of an elbow and a sleeve, fully lined with DURHART® 200, an electrofused ceramic with high abrasion resistance.

The piping, subjected to pressure, was manufactured in compliance with the PED (category 2), ensuring conformity and safety.

CASE STUDY

Reliability improvement of a receiving part under a mill

Facing accelerated wear from the Venturi effect under a mill, this steel part was redesigned to incorporate a full ALDUR® 240 ceramic lining, providing high abrasion resistance.

The inclusion of an access hatch allows for quick maintenance in case of clogging, which is common during humidity peaks.

Result: a reliable, durable solution designed for the actual field conditions.

CASE STUDY

Reliability improvement of a hopper under a cyclone

To ensure better abrasion resistance in critical discharge zones, several hoppers under cyclones were manufactured in Creusabro® 4800.

This delayed work hardening steel increases the service life of components while maintaining good ease of fabrication (welding, forming…).

Result: a robust and durable solution for a highly abrasive environment.
